Role summary
Account Executives at Battenhall work across a wide range of digital communications disciplines including social media (organic and paid), PR, influencers, and data and insights. Having a genuine passion for social media and communications is a must, as well as a desire to nurture and grow your skill set and confidence by taking advantage of training and mentoring initiatives at Battenhall and beyond, to enable us to deliver excellent client work.
Responsibilities
Working as part of a fast growing, global team, an Account Executive’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- A key role in producing written materials such as social media posts, press releases, news stories, reports, case studies, and product information.
- Handling individual clients’ and brands’ social media profiles including LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, TikTok and more.
- Monitoring social media and press coverage, working with other team members to communicate results.
- Pitching written materials featuring ideas and announcements to influencers and members of the press.
- Helping managers and directors deliver analytics reports on social media, PR and influencer activity, monitoring conversation, traffic, engagement, and followers using a combination of tools and desk research.
- Getting involved in creative brainstorming of concepts for social media and PR campaigns.
- Responding to inbound inquiries from members of the press, influencers, and their management.
- Setting up paid social media campaigns for review.
- Working with new biz teams on research, ideation and pitching.
- Attending client calls and internal meetings (virtual and in-person), providing activity updates and working with team members to prepare agendas, presentations, follow up notes and actions.
- Working across multiple accounts and projects at the same time.
- Getting involved with the Battenhall Buddy scheme to provide help and advice to new joiners, including fellow Account Executives, Junior Account Executives and Interns.
- Looking to utilise non-client time to get involved in Battenhall brand communications and company initiatives such as Taskforces.
Key skills
- 1-2 years of experience in a social media, digital comms, design or PR agency, or working in a communications or marketing department in-house.
- Eager to learn and proactively get involved in opportunities within the agency.
- You will need to demonstrate outstanding verbal English, written, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to write exceptional copy.
- You will have strong interpersonal skills virtually and in-person.
- You will need to demonstrate the ability to work to tight deadlines and meet all the demands and pressures of teams and clients. You will need to work quickly and efficiently without compromising on quality.
- Being confident and comfortable to ask for help and support when needed.
- Continual interest and efforts to build your experience and skill set through mentoring, training, 20% time, and new business exposure.
- You will have the ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
